Grand Piano Clamp/clip-On Lamps

replacing hard drive with external?
yeah i bricked my laptop hard drive. i'm hoping theres still some areas in the hard drive i'm still able to retrieve files from. which is why i would like to buy the hard drive and encasing at the same time. i was able to replace my other laptop with a external before. but the one i'm looking at i've seen places call it a external "mini" portable hard drive. i'm just wondering if the mini makes it a different kind of external or just bad labeling. i'm planning on buying this

It refers to its size, its portable basically its a 2.5 inch hard drive the ones you find in a laptop, but its cased in a housing which allows you to connect it to you pc/ laptop as a external drive.
You should buy a 2.5inch to 3.5inch housing its like a few £ / $ of ebay, that way you can connect it up to your pc, retrieve files and probaly format it so you can get it working again. << i think thats what you ment but your question is layed out a bit confusingly.
