Do you have to run a new power wire to the battery of your car, when you are installing a capacitor? Or can you use the power wire from the amp to the battery, and splice it and put in a new wire to go from the amp to the cap or what?
Yes !, you answered yourself. Just splice the power wire between the amp and the capacitor, but the cap should be first in the wire and as shorter as possible to avoid voltage dropping.
