Can I use an non Xbox brand external hard drive with the Xbox 360 instead of buying the Xbox Hard drive?
I am going to be buying a new Xbox 360. I have a Seagate 500 GB external hard drive, I would like to use this hard drive to store information on my Xbox 360 instead of buying the Xbox 360 premium or the Xbox 360 brand harddrive. Is this possible or does the Xbox ony work with the Xbox brand hard drive?
you can use an external HD to store media... movies, music, etc.. but it will not work for storing games and DLC.. there is supposedly a hack available that will allow you to use a regular HD with the xbox... http://www.pcworld.com/article/150970/upgrade_your_xbox_360s_hard_drive_on_the_cheap.html
