Motion detection USB, Bluetooth (GB PS3 and PSP)
SIXAXIS Wireless Controller (SCPH-98040/CECHZC1) (mark "SIXAXIS") (informally known as PlayStation 3 Wireless Controller) was Agent wireless handheld controller for the PlayStation 3 from Sony, which was subsequently replaced by the DualShock 3. In Japan, Individual Sixaxis controllers are available for purchase simultaneously with the launch of the console, without a USB to mini USB. The word "Sixaxis" as used in the sense motion sensing technology of the PlayStation 3 controllers. The word "Sixaxis" (a contraction of "six legs" direction of motion) is a palindrome. Sixaxis controllers can also be used in the PSP is Go for using Bluetooth and can connect to the system registry and the controller PS3.
History
At E3 2005, Sony showed its "boomerang" design of the PlayStation 3 controller. Accompanied many critics, most of whom were by his side, this design was later abandoned. Sony later said that the original controller "Was clearly conceived as a concept and was never intended to be the final controller, despite what everyone said to this subject. "
Boomerang design was replaced by a modified version, wireless DualShock 2 controller at E3 2006. The controller Sixaxis is removed, and the DualShock 3 controller is the new employees, plus a vibration function, even include Sixaxis functionality. However, Europe remains the Sixaxis controller for the summer of 2008, the European Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PlayStation 3 package includes a Sixaxis. The Sixaxis is no longer produced.
Features and design changes
An important feature of the Sixaxis controller is the ability to sense both rotational orientation and translational acceleration along three main dimensions with six degrees of freedom, hence the name. . This became a subject of controversy, because the circumstances of the call less than eight months after Nintendo revealed the capacity Motion Detection into its new console controller (see Wii Remote), led to suppose that adding motion detection has been a decision advanced by Sony to follow Nintendo's move. Further fueling speculation was the fact that only Warhawk shown at E3 this year demonstrated the function of motion detection. [Citation needed] In addition, some comments from Incognito Entertainment, the developer behind the detection Motion PlayStation 3 game, Warhawk, said he had received development controllers with the motion sensor has only 10 days or so before E3. Developer Brian Upton from SCE Santa Monica studies subsequently clarified that the Incognito had been secretly working on motion sensing technology "for some time "but has not received a working controller until" the last few weeks before E3. "
The Sixaxis features finer sensitivity than the DualShock 2 analog, increased the accuracy of 10-bit precision of 8 bits DualShock 2. The controller also uses both analog and digital signals simultaneously at any time during the game. The frame below the L2 and R2 buttons have been removed and these Trigger buttons have become comparable with travel wide to determine the level of the analog input instead of the pressure range. Instead of the "analog" mode selector button above two analog models is a jewel-like "PS button" with the PlayStation logo, which can be used to access the boot menu, changing the control inputs and turn on the console or the controller on or off.
LED
The top of a DualShock 3 Sixaxis controller, LED lights on the right.
Four line LED port numbers are at the top of the controller to identify and distinguish multiple Wireless Controllers. Because there are only four players in the LED controller, LED light for several players from 5, 6 and 7 (for example, if '4 'And '1' indicator light at the same time, the controller is assigned to player 5). While the PS3 is on, pressing the button PS displays a menu showing the battery synchronize all controllers and more.
Accessories Sixaxis
Rechargeable batteries
The battery for the SIXAXIS ™ wireless controller is 3.7 V lithium-ion battery with cable. The package provides up to 30 hours with full charge games for remote streaming. It is recommended not to remove the batteries (which differ slightly in voltage). Also included in the framework of the kit and AC adapter charges in connection with the Sixaxis / DualShock 3 battery charger. Third party kits rechargeable battery are also available. Although the USB charger can also be connected to the AC adapter and original PlayStation 3 / slim console. The battery was not initially designed to be replaced when a spokesman for Sony said that the Sixaxis should operate for several years "before there is no degradation in performance of the battery. When and if that happens, then, of course, Sony will offer a service in return for these items. "More Later, it was revealed that the Sixaxis came with instructions on how to remove the battery and the battery is completely removable.
AC load Adapter Kit
The adapter kit allows you to load cargo or Sixaxis DualShock 3 controllers, the official Bluetooth headset and wireless keyboard. The kit can also charge the PSP-2000 and PSP-3000. The charger uses an AC wall outlet, eliminating the need for a PS3 running by hardware. Includes a 4.92 ft long USB cable (Type A Mini-B) and an output of 6.56 m long electric cable AC cord.
USB 2.0 Cable Pack
The USB 2.0 cable for charging pack allows the controller while playing a game of connect the Sixaxis / DualShock 3 wireless controller and PlayStation Portable on a USB hub. Eliminating the ability of vibration
Sony has announced that because motion detectors, including vibration function of previous PlayStation controllers was removed, claiming that the vibrations could interfere with the motion sensor. This therefore makes the PS3 wireless incredibly light, it felt strange to players [citation needed] used for heavier pilots such as the DualShock. Haptics developer Immersion Corporation, which had successfully sued Sony for patent infringement, has expressed skepticism of Sony's rationale, the company president Victor Viegas said in an interview, "I do not think a very difficult problem to solve, and Immersion has experts that would be happy to resolve this problem for them, "provided that Sony withdraw its appeal of the patent infringement award. more emphasis on immersion compatibility with motion sensors in the introduction of its new generation technology of vibration feedback, TouchSense. Following statements Sony are dismissive of the arguments of the dive, with Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) Vice President of Marketing Peter Dille said: "It seems that people seek to draw some sort of negotiation through the press and try to make their point to us as we talked about how it is possible noise interfering with the Sixaxis controller. "
However, in a press release about eight months later, Phil Harrison, president of Studios Sony's worldwide, said: "Now, rumble I think the last generation feature, the feature is no I think the next generation of motion sensitivity is .. "He added that noise would in future come from third-party drivers .. This false statement showed less than a year later with the announcement of the DualShock 3.

Why does my ps3 controller disconnect randomly?
My ps3 controllers, both of them, disconnect from my ps3 at random times and when i press the playstation button, they don't sync, the 4 light just keep blinking for a long time then stop. Then it still doesn't work. The weird thing is that when i connect the mini usb cables to the controllers, they still didn't connect! I know the controllers were fully charged when this happened and I'm sure i wasn't to far away from the ps3, only about 5 feet. I have a wireless internet connection from my 2.46ghz router which my ps3 connects to. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? One controller is a Sony Dualshock 3 controller and the other is a Sixaxis controller.
Well my controllers are fully charged most of the time and i guess the controllers aren't damaged because one came with the ps3 and i bought the other one at a store only 3 days ago.
may be its need to recharge
